Free Clothing

St. Vincent de Paul

Contact your nearest Catholic Church. A member of the organization will give you a voucher to take to their thrift store to indicate items you need for each member of your family, along with a debit card to pay for the purchase. Visit www.svdpdet.org/ for more information.

St. Mark's Church

St. Mark Clothers Closet is open Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No residence restrictions. No limits (within reason). Call (586) 759-3026 for more information or visit St. Mark's Church at 4257 Bart in Warren.

The Provident Corporation

Free gently worn clothing is available for men, women, and children every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at New Mount Moriah Macomb Church, 176 N. Gratiot, Mt. Clemens. Prayer is available; lunch is also served. Call (586) 215-6766 for more information.

Bethel Lutheran Church

Clothing is provided at no charge for those in need on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Located at 26400 Little Mack in St. Clair Shores. Call (586) 778-0021 for more information.

St. Margaret of Scotland Church

Accepts donations and maintains a clothing closet which provides clothing for the homeless and persons in need year round. Free clothing is provided Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Located at 21201 13 Mile Rd. in St. Clair Shores. Call (586) 293-2240 for more information.

Trinity Lutheran Church

Clothing each Sunday at Outreach event called SSS for Supper, Sack Lunch & Showers, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. each SUnday, even on holidays. Call (586) 731-4490 for more information.

The Neighborhood House Clothes Closet

Career clothes are available free to clients. Sale of items open to the public on the second and last Wednesdays of the month. Call (248) 656-0230 for more information.

Michigan Works!

Provides a clothes closet of career clothing for interviews or work for people seeking employment or starting a new job. Call the Clinton Township office at (586) 263-1501 or the Roseville office at (586) 447-9200.

Hope Closet

Provides high school students with a dress of their choice regardless of financial constraints or limitations. Phones will be open for appoointments on April 2nd and after. Please be patient the lines may be busy. Call (248) 347-1309 to make an appointment.


Furniture

Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan

Open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Must be referred to by an agency. A non-refundable $20 application fee must be received within three businessed days of the referral submission. The application fee is applied to the first 16 "furniture points" the client uses on the Furniture Bank's point scale. An additional $20 will be paid if the client uses between 17 - 32 points on the scale, and $20 more dollars will be paid for 33 to 48 points. Call (248) 332-1300 for more information.
